From 15:00 you can check in at the Borgo and there will be time to settle into your room. At 17:00, you will meet the group during a wine-food workshop. Under the guidance of our chef, you will start putting together a cheese board, followed by matching the wines with our sommelier. Learn how the flavours and aromas of the cheeses and wines can best complement each other. After this workshop, there is a welcome dinner.

Wednesday
City toue through the wine city of Umbria: Montefalco. After this walk, we will have a guided tour at a local wine and cheese producer. This passionate entrepreneur is supplier for many restaurants in the area, including Michelin-starred restaurants. We will have a tour at the goat farm where you will experience all the steps of the cheese-making process. After that it is time to get to work yopurself and make cheese! After some hard work it is to join a delicious tasting of the wines and cheeses.

Thursday
Visit to the Torgiano Wine Museum, the Umbria region’s most famous museum of wine. The museum features an extensive collection of historical wine machines, bottles, labels and other memorabilia, as well as a multimedia exhibition on the history of wine production in Umbria. After the museum visit, we head to Torgiano’s second largest winery. It is a family-owned winery that has been producing wine for four generations. Besides local grapes, they plant Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon in the 20 hectares of vineyards. After the tour, you will taste the wines over a delicious lunch.

Friday
On the last day, you will join local grape pickers harvesting the grapes.  Grape picking, also known as ‘vendemmia’, usually takes place between September and October, depending on the weather and the ripeness of the grapes. During the harvest, the grapes are removed from the vines by hand in this case. After all the hard work, it is time for a picnic in the vineyard to enjoy the winery’s delicious wines. In the evening, we toast one last time over dinner at the Borgo!
