The Italian word for ‘Whitsun’ (‘pentecoste’) literally means ‘the fiftieth,’ as it’s celebrated 50 days after Easter. Although a Christian feast, it was also linked to the celebration of spring in the Middle Ages.
Celebrate spring with us! Have some time-out together at Borgo Castello Panicaglia! We have put together a week and weekend package especially for the Whitsun break.
You will spend the night in one of our stylish and cosy rooms, where a nice bottle of wine will be waiting for you upon arrival. We serve breakfast every day (including a special breakfast on Whit Monday). On Saturday, you can visit a winery for a short tour finished with a delicious wine tasting. On Sunday, you can join a cooking class where you can learn to make your own fresh pasta and a delicious dessert. In addition, you can enjoy two evenings of a three-course dinner made by our Italian chef with fresh local produce and products from our own vegetable garden.
