Full of unique locations
Borgo Castello Panicaglia has pretty much everything you need for a personal, intimate ceremony: a castle villa, large grounds (20 hectares), outbuildings, and even a private church. There are several unique locations on the grounds that we can decorate specifically for the wedding ceremony or for a drinks reception, pizza night, pool party, or Italian-style picnic, to name just a few examples. We can find the perfect setting together.
The unrivalled beauty of an outdoor wedding
We specialize in outdoor weddings. As it happens, Umbria is blessed with fantastic weather, with barely any rain from May to September. However, if the weather forecast could be an issue, we have our beautiful stretch tent on the terrace for you to use. We can also set up luxury party tents in other areas of the grounds. Illuminated by hundreds of lights, it feels just as magical as partying under a star-lit sky.
Plenty to do indoors
All areas of our borgo are exclusively for your use while you stay with us. Feel free to enjoy the bedrooms and bathrooms, foyer, reading room and playroom, professional kitchen, family restaurant, and wine bar in complete privacy.
Our third time at Borgo Castello Panicaglia, and this time, it was for our wedding. Honestly, we’re still speechless. Every single one of our guests was blown away by the beauty of the property, the comfort of the rooms, and most of all, the warmth and dedication of the staff.
We had a three-day wedding filled with our wild friends and loving family, and despite the chaos, the Borgo team delivered the best service we’ve ever experienced, anywhere in the world. The staff worked tirelessly behind the scenes, always one step ahead, making sure everyone was taken care of and that every moment was perfect.
The rooms are phenomenal, beautifully designed, incredibly comfortable, and full of character. The event team and planners were so helpful throughout the entire process, and on the wedding day, they functioned like a well-oiled machine, keeping everything running seamlessly.
We’ve heard from so many of our guests that this was the best wedding they’ve ever attended, and we know that’s thanks to the incredible team at the Borgo. They’re not just professionals, they’re genuinely kind, passionate people who pour their hearts into what they do.
We’d do this wedding all over again every year if we could. We’ll definitely be back, whether it’s for a holiday or vow renewals. This place is an absolute dream.

Where do we even begin to describe the magic that occurred between 1-3 Sep 2025?? To say that the Borgo and the team made our wedding dreams come true is an understatement!! You all exceeded our expectations and truly brought our vision to life.

Wow, wow, wow! Last September we had the joy of celebrating our wedding here with our family and friends, what a blessing! When we visited for a short stay in 2024, we were already impressed, but our wedding truly exceeded all our expectations.
The location is breathtakingly beautiful and perfectly maintained. All the rooms are stylishly decorated, and it really feels like coming home. The relaxed, warm atmosphere makes everyone feel welcome right away.
The food was absolutely fantastic! You can taste the care and love that goes into every meal. It was so nice to hear that they mainly use local products and grow their own vegetables and herbs. The local wines served were also delicious, every meal felt like a culinary celebration!
And if the food and location haven’t convinced you yet, the team definitely will. The entire staff radiates hospitality and works incredibly hard to make everything run smoothly, while still taking time for personal attention, you are truly embraced with warmth. Communication was good, friendly, and clear. The team clearly enjoys working together and is well-coordinated. A special mention for Tom & Nicola: they were fantastic! Extremely friendly, professional, and amazing at their jobs. The children especially adored them. They had the time of their lives, and so did we.

Every room at Borgo Castello Panicaglia is unique
From double or triple rooms to luxury suites and family suites. The entire interior has been renovated, designed, and decorated by a professional interior designer. Original features such as the beamed ceilings, floors, and walls have been restored to their former glory, complemented by an inviting, hotel-chic style and the highest level of amenities. All rooms have a private bathroom as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
We have 45 permanent sleeping areas and have five extra beds to accommodate a total of 50 guests.
More than 50 guests? No problem!
There is a hotel with enough beds just two kilometres away from the borgo, so that a total of 75 guests can enjoy a luxury stay.

The Borgo has 46 fixed beds + 5 extra beds (a total of 51 beds). Guests beyond this number can stay at a hotel located just 2 km away, allowing accommodation for 75–80 people in total.
Yes, you will have the entire estate exclusively. During your stay, all spaces of the Borgo are reserved just for you.
All wedding ceremonies are held at an exclusive spot with breathtaking views over the green valley. The grass lawn is lush and inviting, and there is also a charming little church on the grounds for an intimate ceremony. We can also organize your ceremony at various outdoor locations surrounded by nature. Thanks to the pleasant climate, almost every ceremony can be celebrated outdoors; in case of rain, elegant tents provide a stylish alternative.
On the first day, guests arrive around 3 PM and are welcomed with drinks, a pool party, and a pizza or BBQ evening.
The second day is the big day: a relaxed breakfast and a delicious lunch in the morning, followed by the ceremony in the afternoon, the wedding dinner, and a spectacular party with live music or a DJ. On Sunday, we finish with a relaxed farewell brunch. In between, workshops or relaxation moments can also be arranged.
All catering is provided in-house by our kitchen. This means every meal, drink, and snack is taken care of. Think of an Italian antipasti buffet, a multi-course fine dining experience, and an open bar with Umbrian wines and delightful aperitivi. We also provide professional service staff and beautifully decorated tables.
